GIVEAWAY: 12 Cloth diapers

I told you things were going to get even better! Since this contest is BIG, it is going to last longer than normal. There might even be even more winners this time. How about this, for every 100 entries, there will be a winner? So be sure to tell everyone you know that uses or wants to use cloth diapers to enter.

The holidays to me are more about being with family and giving. So I really want to make the holidays special. Also, we need space in the house and to get inventory out of my son’s room! He still resides in our room. We are going to start to try to make the transition from our bed to his. We will see how it goes.

I am sorry to say that this contest is open to US residents only! If you have a US Shipping address, you can still enter to win.

This contest is for 12 instock cloth diapers. I will announce the winner on Wednesday, December 26, 2009. The contest will end on December 25, 2009. Please post a comment for EACH entry. You can get a total of at least 13 entries as long as you make an individual reply to each of the items listed. Good Luck to everyone. Please add your e-mail to your posts so that I can contact you.

We use cloth diapers to save money and so our sons arent constantly exposed to the toxins in disposables.

    heather[dot]mcdougle[at]gmail[dot]com

  17. 13. Two reasons. 1. In the long run it will be much cheaper than using disposable. We had our first child about a year ago and we plan on having many more. If we could have our diapers last through more than one child it would be great for us financially. 2. I'm definitely not a green mom, but I am very conscious of the fact that disposable diapers are making the world a… less healthy place to live. Cloth diapers can be reused many times over thereby making the landfills a little less dirty.

  23. the hiney lineys are a great concept and I'd love to try them out in the side snap design. I actually messaged my husband at work right after checking them out because I loved it so much 😀
Hopefully he'll let me get a set to try or maybe y'all could make that one of the prizes

  24. The main reason I use cloth diapers is because my daughter seems to be allergic to disposables and breaks out in constant rashes, but I also am I huge fan of keeping things natural and eco friendly. My husbands main selling point though was the money saving.

  25. I don't really have 12 different diapers I'd pick, but I'm always down for trying new diapers out (preferably snaps as my daughter takes the velcro ones off immediately)
Some of my faves though are:
    bumgenius organics aio
    flip organics
    starbunz
    gro baby

I would love to see a pikkolo as a giveaway (I know- dream big, right?)

Other than that, I love seeing WAHM items as giveaways, because there are always ones I would love to buy, but don't have the $$ to try everything.

  76. 7. Tell us about a blog you would like to see us host a giveaway on

I would love to see a giveaway of cloth diaper supplies or patterns on http://www.sewmamasew.com/blog2

I know the cost prevents lots of people from cloth diapering, and learning to do it can dramatically lower the cost.

  77. 9. Tell me what you think of Hiney Lineys

I think the idea behind Hiney Lineys is good, but we don't use suedecloth or other synthetic fibers here. I strongly prefer diapers that can be used with wool, rather than a 'system'.

  78. 12. Which 12 diapers would you pick?

I would choose 3 Sugar Peas covers and 9 Sugar Peas snap in diapers. That would be SO nice for under woollies!

  79. 13. Why do you use or want to use cloth diapers?

I use cloth now because it's so much more comfortable for my children, and they're not exposed to harmful chemicals.

  80. I sent a request to join your group.

    ksugerman at yahoo dot com

  84. What 12 diapers would I want? The Drybees look luxurious. : ) I would pick any boy style of those, in any size, or some prefolds with thirsties.

  92. OrganicMom says:

What would I pick? Hmmm… I'd like to try a Gro Baby, and I'd get a few more prefolds, and then I'd say surprise me with the rest. :)

  93. OrganicMom says:

We use cloth diapers for whole lot of reasons. I love being able to use and reuse things and would feel bad throwing away so many disposable diapers/pull ups. I think it's a more natural/healthy thing to put on a baby's tender skin. I really, really enjoy designing and sewing cloth diapers. And there's probably many more reasons that I'm forgetting right now, but those are the main ones.

    kris5599 at cox dot net

  100. I like hiney lineys. I like that Hiney Lineys help reduce leg gapping. Since the stay-dry wicking layer is not attached all the way around the diaper and has its own leg elastic, you can say bye-bye to leg gapping!
we used to have this problem at night time. currently it doesn't happen as much but this sounds like a great solution.

  101. i would choose 3 grobaby shells, 1 one size fuzzibunz, 2 thirsties duo wraps, and 6 bumgenious 1 size aplix diapers.

  102. there are so many reasons i use clothdiapers. I started out using them because i was sick of poopy blowouts out the back of sposies and i was sick of going to the store to buy them. I love the cost savings, the cuteness, that they are better for baby's skin and better for environment!

  114. I like the fact that the Hiney Liney has all the features I like in the pocket diaper but also gives you the option/freedom to reuse the cover if you so desire. neat!

  115. 12 diapers I would pick:

  117. I think hiney lineys are one of the most innovative diapers I've seen in a long time!

  123. I would pick 8 drybees bamboo fitteds and 4 fuzzi buns one-size

    k.l.westerman (at) gmail (dot) com

  124. I use cloth because it saves a lot of money in the long run. Especially true for us, since we plan on using the same dipes for several kiddos.

    k.l.westerman (at) gmail (dot) com

  125. I've not used Hiney Lineys, but when I first saw them I was stunned. Very innovative, cost effective, and cute. They're an awesome alternative to pockets for those with less cash on hand. We were using pocket diapers at the time, and I was starting to make some of my own. Otherwise, I would have bought some.
We've since switched to prefolds or fitteds and covers. We've found it a chore to stuff and unstuff diapers when we're at home, and we didn't find that the stay-dry inner made much of a difference for our kiddo. I think the same would be true of the hiney lineys, though I don't think it would be quite as big a deal. It's just one more step I don't want to mess with.
We're also in the process of converting our stash to snapping diapers to increase their longevity. I won't buy or make another diaper with hook and loop of any kind.
As our daughter has gotten older (now 18 months, size m) she now needs more absorbency than a single regular prefold or microfiber towel can provide. None of the pockets or covers I've used are big enough to handle a quad-folded premium. They all cause gapping around her scrawny legs. I'm guessing the same would be true for this one, but I don't know.

    k.l.westerman (at) gmail (dot) com

  126. I'm not sure about a blog for the giveaways. Maybe thepioneerwoman.com That's really the only one I follow much.

I started cloth to save money winse I was going to have 2 kiddos in diapers, but I've spent more on fabrics and diapers than I expected. I really like using cloth because my boys have sensitive skin, so I can keep the chemicals in 'sposies away from them.

I like the idea but I think they would get messy quickly. You would probably need a lot nmore covers than you would think. I find when I use fitted diapers and covers there are times I need 1 every diaper change.

  144. I am Lee-Ann... says:

    I would pick:
Medium Green Acre Designs PUL pockets: Royal Plum & Princess Pink
FuzziBunz Perfect Size Diaper – Medium: Pink Gingham Floral x 2, Bubblegum & Lavendar
    Thirsties Pocket All-In-One V2 – Medium: Pink & Red
DryBees All In One Hybrids – Medium: Cow Print & Pink Dot
    Gro Baby Shell Set: Mandarin
bumGenius Organic One-Size Cloth Diapers (SNAP): Zinnia

  145. Following…

    JoannaBuley@gmail.com

  146. #6 – I really like zippered wet bags, BumGenius OS Pocket diapers, Thirsties OS covers, soakers, liners, and some type of odor-reducing system for dry pails.

    JoannaBuley@gmail.com

  147. #9 – I like the versatility, but it also seems like it's not really saving that much time/laundering if you still have to wash the liner and the insert.

    JoannaBuley@gmail.com

  148. 12. I'd love to try something different – I'm only using BumGenius OS pockets, and just finished using Kissaluvs Fitteds with Thirsties Covers. I realize there's a lot more out there in the CD world and I'm open to trying something new, including the Hiney Lineys. I hear a lot of raves on Fuzzi Bunz. I'm also interested in OS AIOs and some prefolds.

    JoannaBuley@gmail.com

  149. 13. I use cloth because it's less wasteful, easy, better for my daughter's skin, cute, and (most importantly) so incredibly economically sound!

    JoannaBuley@gmail.com

  150. If I can add to my previous post on the "Which 12 diapers would you pick?" question, some specifics (now that I've looked through your inventory)…

I'd pick the Thirsties Pocket AIO V2 (small or medium), Thirsties Duo Wraps (size 1 or 2), the Pea in the Pod AIO system (small to medium), and the GroBaby OS. (Can you tell we're almost in between sizes??)

    gracelizs@yahoo.com

  154. I haven't used Hiney Lineys, but they look really cute and well-made. :)

    gracelizs@yahoo.com

  155. For a future giveaway… More cloth dipes, especially BG's. Maybe a BG and wet bag combo?

    gracelizs@yahoo.com

  156. I would choose all BG's (if you have that many in stock) They are just working the best for us right now.

    gracelizs@yahoo.com

  157. We starting out cloth diapering to save money… I went a little overboard at first though so I am not sure if I have actually saved that much. I haven't bought a dipe in a long time now though… at least 8 months, so maybe we are starting to finally save! :) Also.. with another one on the way I am hoping I can re-use everything and come out ahead! :)

  165. 13. We are due with our first (little girl!) in less than three months. We're planning cloth diapering for the following reasons.
    1) money: You can't argue, it's cheaper to use cloth then to buy sposies! Especially if you sell them afterwards or diaper several children.
    2) environment: Regardless of how many rinses I run, this is still a more environmentally sound practice then dumping sposies and human waste in a landfill. Not to mention all the chemicals and water it takes to create one of those things!
    3) health: I think cloth is healthier for babies. Breathable fabric without harsh chemicals is a far healthier choice!
4)the fun factor! Cloth dipes are so soft and so cute! My friends who use cloth always say, "I just have so much fun with diapers!" and I have never heard a mom who uses sposies share that sentiment. 😉

  166. I wanna see A BG given away!
