Monday Madness 10.17.11

Sometimes there is just too much poop to deal with…literally.

This morning started out like any other.  Wake up and everyone goes potty.  Except this morning took an unexpected turn.  Baby girl made her usual morning “noises” before I changed her diaper.  So I changed her cloth diaper.  Cleaned her up.  There wasn’t much to clean up and I thought that was odd.  She then sat up like normal with her feet curled under her with no diaper.  I typically grab a diaper, flip her over, and put it on.

Well, she wanted to shake things up this morning.  I look and there is poop.  I didn’t know what to do.  My three year old son chimes in and says, “Mommy, Sydney pooped on the changing table!”  Thanks, I realize that.  I didn’t say anything but, “Hun, I need help!  I don’t know what to do!”  My husband is clueless…and unable to help at the time.  So I try to use wipes and then pick her up.  Bad idea, she digs her toes into it as I am picking her up.  She then swings them across the changing table and attacks the prefold that was going to save the day.

At this point I give up and bring her to the tub.  I am holding her in one arm hopeful that she will not move.  I get the water warm and clean her off from her bottom down.  I then take the towel and dry her off.  I get her in the new diaper and pants.  I then look at the towel and notice a streak of poop on it, fresh from the looks of it.  I have no clue where it came from.  Well, I know where it came from, but I couldn’t find any anywhere.

So the lesson of the day… No matter how well you think you have cleaned poop up, there is always more where it came from!
